Egg Bowl 2026: Where to Stay in Oxford on Thanksgiving Weekend

The 2026 Egg Bowl is Friday, November 27, at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, and the best place to stay is as close to the Square as you can get. Kickoff time and TV are still to be announced, and the game falls the day after Thanksgiving. As of October 11, 2026, our one Oxford home, House of Rivals — Rebel Row, is open November 26–29, and so are ten of our eleven Starkville homes and 20 of our 31 Laurel homes for Thanksgiving week. Here is the honest picture.

Egg Bowl 2026: the facts

  • Date: Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 26).
  • Place: Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Oxford, MS. Ole Miss hosts in 2026.
  • Kickoff and TV: Still to be announced. The SEC typically sets them about 6 to 12 days before the game, so check back closer to the date.

Whatever the kickoff turns out to be, plan to arrive Thursday for Thanksgiving. The Grove fills early on game day and the Square is busy the night before, so book Thursday and Friday nights together if you can.

Where to stay in Oxford

Oxford is a small town on a holiday weekend with a rivalry game, and we are honest about how few homes we host there. We have one.

  • House of Rivals — Rebel Row — sleeps 6, two bedrooms, about eight minutes from the Square and the Grove. Open November 26–29 as of October 11, 2026. Open dates move daily, so check the live calendar on the page.

If Rebel Row is gone when you read this, call or text us at (601) 202-2025. We will tell you what else is open nearby, the same day. Our Oxford guide covers the town, and our Ole Miss 2026 home schedule covers the rest of the season.

Need more bedrooms? Starkville is about ninety minutes away

A Thanksgiving group of eight to twelve will outgrow a two-bedroom. Ten of our eleven Starkville homes were open November 26–28 on October 11, 2026, including four-bedroom and larger homes that sleep a whole family. It is about a ninety-minute drive to Oxford on game morning, so leave early and plan a designated driver for the ride home.

Thanksgiving week in Laurel

If you are not going to the game and just need a place for the family, Laurel is our home town, and 20 of our 31 homes were open for November 25–29 as of October 11, 2026.

Our largest family homes in Laurel, including Heritage House, Pickering House and White House, are not available for that week. See the Laurel guide for the full list, and book early if you need room for a full table.
